The Centennial Ridges Trail, Algonquin Park, Ontario Canada

Trail length km – 10.4
Located at km – 37.6 (2 km south of Hwy 60)
Estimated difficulty – difficult
Time needed – 6 Hours

This demanding trail offers diverse vistas from woodlands and ponds to rocky ridges overlooking Whitefish Lake. The views from atop the ridges are well worth the climb. Another must do trail in the fall providing excellent views of the fall colours.
You may need to park further away from the trailhead due to this trail’s popularity during peak fall colours. In the winter months access to this trail is limited as the road leading towards to the trail is gated at Highway 60 adding approximately 2 kilometers to the hike.

An interesting note is that this trail was named and opened in 1993 as part of Algonquin Park’s Centennial celebrations.

There is also a secondary access point to this trail from the Coon Lake Campground which is off of Rock Lake Road.

Dogs are allowed on this trail but must be kept leashed.
